From beginner students to advanced artists, the Art Academy of Long Island affords a relaxing environment with a result driven program of formal art training. Learn to draw from life or photographs using charcoal pencils work your way up to colorful oil paintings.
Youth Program
Charcoal drawing classes for students ages 7-12. This class offers younger students a place to begin the study of drawing fundamentals. Students will take their first footsteps on the path to developing exceptional artistic skills. Students will develop patience, mental stamina, quality control and the critical thinking necessary to progress as an artist. This program prepares students to work in paint.

Teens & Adults
Drawing and oil painting classes for students ages 12 and up. This class offers teens and adults a place to begin the study of core fundamentals needed to create artwork of exceptional quality for any purpose. Students will learn how to work with the medium, understand value concepts, recognize object relationships and scale, and learn to visually measure objects from life.
