Birch School Students Perform Whimsical Winter Concerts

From Birch School:Months of preparation and practice paid off as Birch School students in the Merrick School District recently performed two winter concerts.

The first concert was held in the morning for students, teachers and administrators to hear performances of a variety of winter classics by the school’s chorus, band, jazz band, orchestra and honors orchestra.

Members of Birch School’s orchestra performed winter classics for students and teachers during the daytime.

Later that evening, the students staged the concert at Brookside School for their families and members of the community to enjoy.

During their winter concert, the Birch School chorus sang “Let It Snow.”

The Birch School community gave these young musicians a standing ovation for their musical talents and dedication.
