Finding The Right Diet Through Publications
Trying to find the right diet for me through the latest diet books.

Like many other people, I'm trying to find the right way to eat for me to lose the extra pounds I put on over the years. Diet is suppose to be the word you don't say so that your mind doesn't think you are depriving yourself of specific food, but come on no matter what you do there is always something that you are
depriving yourself from.
Over the past year I've picked up several books hoping that the magic solution would present itself to me through the words of the author. Going through the many resources out there from YouTube, blogs, websites, and various television shows like Good Housekeeping's Drop 5 pounds. Finding the perfect mix
to help me get back the size I used to be. My understanding it is 70% kitchen and 30% gym.
My new collection of books include:

As I read each book I place little 3M flags on the pages that obtain information I want to remember and put in place. My book of Sass yourself Slim has so many tabs on it due to the little helpful tips throughout the book. I found that Kelly Bensimon's book I can make you Hot gave some great recipes and better
understanding of why she always has jelly beans. I have to say I was pretty surprised and entertained by Kelly's book. The Joy Fit Club gives stories of many people who have success in losing weight and what worked for them along with some great menus. Joy has some great advice that has been easy
to put in place. Tracy Anderson also has some pretty easy meal plans, however, with ingredients that I don't normally purchase. The book comes with a CD and
her exercise plan that is worth the price of the book.
Each brings a unique approach to the right way to eat and exercise. Some of the information overlaps, but most of them are unique to themselves. For me it is the reoccurring message about preparing your food ahead of time. Making sure the right choice are made it is important to have the right food at your fingertips or you will make the wrong choice. Drink water ensuring to say hydrated and control portions. Exercise or move daily. There is a variation if there should be 3,5,6 meals a day.
I find it challenging to keep myself on track and make sure that my family is healthy as well. Being overwhelmed in the kitchendoesn't help my situation. I've been lucky that I have a husband and son that are up to trying almost anything. I've cooked several of the recipes and found a few that are now my family's favorites.
Did I find the diet magic that works for me? Not exactly yet, but I'm on the right track and feel much more educated on some of the newest nutrition trends. We don't bring as many processed foods in the house and plan ahead.
