  1. Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman wants Long Islanders to donate guns for Ukrainians to use in their country's ongoing conflict with Russia. Blakeman told The Post he is aiming to "draw attention to Ukraine’s defiant resistance against Vladimir Putin and his military." The GOP politician says he is looking to collect hunting rifles and military-style semiautomatic weapons like AR-15s. However, he admitted he would likely need federal agencies to sign off on the shipment. (New York Post)
  2. Yesterday morning, Merrick's District 8 Senator John Brooks held a press conference with Senator Michelle Hinchey and Senator Pete Harckham about the Joseph P.
