- On Thursday morning, County Executive Bruce Blakeman announced the signing of several executive orders on mask mandates throughout the county. The first order will give parents and local school boards the option of whether or not to require schoolchildren to wear masks. Blakeman emphasized the county will not be enforcing the state mandate by Gov. Kathy Hochul. (News 12 Brooklyn)
- A man and a woman have been arrested allegedly stealing numerous packages throughout Long Island. On Tuesday, the suspects, Tyree Stewart and Jacqueline White, were arrested by Nassau County Police. They are originally from Queens. (Daily Voice)
