Recently, Calhoun High School celebrated the commitment that nine athletes have made to universities for fall of 2013.

“We’d like to take a moment to recognize the accomplishments of our student athletes,” Assistant Principal Nicole Hollings said. “These Calhoun athletes have truly distinguished themselves for their commitment to playing a port and now have the opportunity to continue to play on the college level.”
The following students committed:

  • Sara Bey: SUNY Old Westbury Soccer
  • Jack Currant: Lehigh Cross Country and Track
  • Kevin Hiss: Hofstra Baseball
  • Michelle Iacono: Rider University Soccer
  • Tom Joanou: NYIT Baseball
  • Jake Nestola: Plattsburgh Lacrosse
  • Lea Sanders: Chestnut Hill Lacrosse
  • Haylee Solomon: Washington College Lacrosse
  • Gabrielle Toback: Columbia Swimming
“They have all signed their letters of commitment to their schools and now await the next chapter of their lives,” Hollings added. “Congratulations to all of these talented athletes!”
