Calhoun Boys Lacrosse Wraps Up Week With Overtime Win
The Colts rebounded from a tough loss to Long Beach to take down the Vikings in overtime.
After the Calhoun boys lacrosse team struggled to find the winning ways in the early parts of the season, they battled back to even their record at 3-3.
However, after a win against Herricks on April 9, the Colts dropped three consecutive games to the likes of Syosset, Hicksville and Long Beach to fall to 3-6.
Calhoun fought tough against Long Beach in the beginning of the week on Tuesday on the road, but the Marines dominated the possession on their home turf to win 16-1 against the Colts.

Joe Radin led the way for Long Beach with five goals and two assists. Charlie Isham scored the lone goal for Calhoun off of a pass from Cole Kalibat in the second quarter. Colts' goalie Matt Lemonis recorded a season-high 18 saves in the losing effort.
On Friday, Calhoun looked to rebound at home against Port Washington in a statement game involving two struggling teams. The Colts and Vikings played a tight first half as the scored was locked at 5-5 at halftime after a late Port Washington comeback.

Calhoun took a 10-9 lead going into the final quarter, but could not close it out as Port Washington fought back to tie the game at 11-11 after John Crawley scored his second goal with 1:17 left in regulation.
John Roth had a solid game for four quarters and it only got better as he scored the game-winner for Calhoun with 2:27 remaining in overtime to give his team a big 12-11 victory.
Roth led the way with four goals and Charlie Isham added three goals and an assist. Matt Lemonis wrapped up his solid week with 16 saves between the pipes.
Calhoun will face off at Uniondale on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. to attempt to start another winning streak as they did in the beginning of the season.
