The Calhoun High School On Tour Company is excited to kick off its season with Shakespeare’s classic, “Romeo and Juliet.” Performances will be held on Oct. 28 and 29, as well as on Nov. 3 (understudy matinee), 4, and 5 in the Sanford H. Calhoun High School auditorium, located at 1768 State St. in Merrick.
This classic, romantic tragedy will be set in Verona, Italy during the 1950s, evocative of the great Fellini films of the Italian Cinema. The 1950s setting is further enhanced by the themed costumes, as well as the music.
The cast includes Alaina Anderson as Juliet Capulet, Doug Gallo as Romeo Montague, Max Kirby as Paris, Alex Werthauer as Benvolio, Zach Neiger as Mercutio, James Caracciolo as Tybalt, Mark Roberti as Friar Laurence, Ben Libov as Lord Capulet, Jessica Ehrlich as Lady Capulet and Nicolette O’Keefe as Nurse.
