Car Hits Trees, Overturns On Meadowbrook Pkwy.; Driver Killed: Police

The driver was pronounced dead at a hospital after the Wednesday night crash.

NORTH MERRICK, NY — A deadly crash took place Wednesday evening on the Meadowbrook Parkway.

State police said a 2013 Mercedes Benz, heading north near Exit M6 (Southern State Parkway), left the highway striking several trees and causing the vehicle to overturn.

The driver, Alan Ricks, 48, of North Babylon, was pronounced dead at an area hospital, police said.
