Child Pornography Charges Added to Man Arrested for Touching Merrick Teen

A man who was arrested and charged with sexually abusing a Merrick girl has had additional charges added for possession of child pornography.

According to police, Luke Tisley, 36, of Denver, Colorado, was found to have videos on his phone of a person under 16 performing a sex act, an investigation showed. He is charged with possession of a sex performance by a child and will be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.

Tilsley was originally arrested on June 24 in Merrick. Police said that, beginning in October, 2015, he allegedly began talking online with a 16-year-old girl from Merrick. Knowing the girl was 16, police said, Tilsley traveled to Merrick twice in April and touched the girl in an inappropriate manner. On June 24, he was observed with the girl and police were notified. He was arrested at the Merrick train station.

He was charged with two counts of forcible touching, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of third degree sexual abuse.
