Cinco de Mayo: Where's the Party?

Your guide to the Cinco de Mayo hotspots.

According to History.com, the celebrations "commemorates the Mexican army's 1862 victory against France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867)."

Bellmore's Texicana Grill will offer some specials in honor of the holiday, including a make your own hard or soft taco bar. Pick from grilled chicken, beef or vegetables and add all your favorite toppings. Prices range from $24.95 for 15 tacos to $99.99 for 60 tacos.

In East Meadow, both Moe's Southwest Grill and Margarita's Cafe will be enjoying the day in their own ways.

At Moe's, the first 150 customers that show up on Saturday will receive a free t-shirt. Although the business will open its doors at 11 a.m., one employee said that customers need to arrive early.

At Margarita's, the celebration will be more party-themed. There will be a Mariachi Band starting at 6 p.m., as well as Tequila poppers and numerous giveaways.

Heading to nearby Rockville Centre? There are some special deals at Cabo. The party starts at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and dinner specials. Happy Hour is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., where they'll be offering half price frozen margaritas, Dos XX, Bud and Coors Light. There will also be tequila tastings, prize giveaways, and The Mystic band will start their set at 9 p.m
