Class of 2016 Merrick College Grads

Many colleges across the country recently held their commencement ceremonies over the last few weeks.

Several local natives were among those to receive their degrees from the various colleges.

Here's a list of some Merrick students who graduated with the Class of 2016:

• Alexandra Nicole Foley graduated with a degree in communication studies from James Madison University on May 6.
• Hayley Yackavage received a BA degree in English Literature at Loyola University Maryland on May 21.
• Sari M Wexler graduated with a degree in communication sciences and disorders from James Madison University on May 6.
• Kurt S. Abitz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of of Scranton on May 29.
• John R. Lindgren earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of of Scranton on May 29.
• Timothy J. Murphy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of of Scranton on May 29.
• Christina Tiongson graduated from Bucknell University on May 22.
• Michelle Olson graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BS degree in Human Development and Family Studies on May 21.
• Anne Rappaport graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English Literature on May 21.
