
The National Weather Service has issued coastal flood advisories for Nassau County.
For southern Nassau, an advisory will be in effect from 1-3 a.m. Tuesday. In northern Nassau, an advisory takes effect at 4 a.m. and ends at 6 a.m. High tides will be about two to two and a half feet higher than normal on Tuesday morning.
"Minor flooding of the most vulnerable shore roads and/or basements" will be possible, the NWS says. There is no significant threat to life and any impact on property is minimal.

Monday Night- Periods of rain, mainly before midnight, then a chance of drizzle or light rain after 3am. Patchy fog. Low around 43. Breezy, with a northeast wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tuesday- A slight chance of drizzle or light rain before 3pm. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 55. North wind 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tuesday Night- Patchy fog after 1am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. Light northwest wind.
Wednesday- A slight chance of rain after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Wednesday Night- A chance of rain, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
