College Scholarships and Leadership Grants Available to Winners of Creative Empowerment Arts Contest
8th -12th graders invited to submit entries for Your Time For Creative Empowerment, Inc.'s 2016/17 Creative Empowerment Arts Contest by 2/25

With the contest submission deadline of February 25th fast approaching, Your Time For Creative Empowerment, Inc. excitingly awaits the participitation of Long Island area students in their 2016/17 school year Creative Empowerment Arts Contest to which 8th grade students are now invited to participate.
Since the organization started to creatively engage Long Island area students in this way, a total of $10,000 has been awarded to contest winners and runners up. In addition to 9th-12th grade students, 8th graders are now invited to participate in this contest which for this year carries the theme: Our Hopes, Our Dreams, Our Fears, Our Solutions.
As has always been the case, winners and their entries will be showcased at the organization's scholarship and fundraising gala, as well as, on the website. Formal presentations are also made to winners at their high school Senior Award Ceremonies. Please note that all contestants will be offered an opportunity to participate in group leadership and entrepreneurship programs offered by businesses and organizations who partner with Your Time For Creative Empowerment, Inc. - a way of acknowledging the winner in all of our youth!

Your Time for Creative Empowerment is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that educates and empowers children, adolescents and parents of both secular and faith-based communities in the Long Island area, through the use of art, fashion and culture as mechanisms to improve interpersonal relationships; to avoid pitfalls that are unique to life in the 21st Century; and to specifically identify and effectively develop healthy problem-solving, enhance personal development and increase cultural sensitivity.
