Cops: 2 Robbed Capital One Bank at Gunpoint
Two men escaped after robbing a Merrick bank Monday evening, cops said.

Nassau County Police are searching for two men they say robbed a Merrick bank Monday evening.
Cops said the two entered Capital One on Merrick Avenue at 5:45 p.m. and approached a teller. Both men revealed handguns and demanded cash from the teller, cops said. The teller cooperated and handed over an unknown amount of cash, cops said. The two fled through a rear door in an unknown direction.
Four employees were in the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was reportedly injured.

The first subject was described as a black man in his mid-20s, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6, and was wearing a baseball cap and a long sleeved red shirt.
The second subject was described as a black man in his mid-20s, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9, and was wearing a gray shirt and blue bucket hat.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
