Core Ryder to Fill a Void in Merrick Strip Mall

The new fitness studio will open on Thanksgiving.

When the place next door became vacant, Melissa Buonomo, owner of Sisters Fitness, created an opportunity for her customers.

"I wanted to have a cardio complement for what we do next door at Sisters," she said.

Cue Core Ryder, a new fitness facility slated to open on Thanksgiving morning, will bring an upper and lower body workout to Merokeans through spin on a RealRyder bike.

The spin bikes aren't just spin bikes, however – they are on an articulating frame that turns, tilts and leans.

According to Buonomo, Merrick will be one of the first places in the country to have the RealRyder experience.
