Speeding Leads To Fatal Crash On Wantagh Parkway: State Troopers

The victim slammed into a tree on the highway's shoulder, state police said.

BELLMORE, NY — A 22-year-old driver was killed after slamming into a tree heading southbound on the Wantagh Parkway on Wednesday morning, state police said.

The victim, Nattily Soltanian, of Farmingdale, was the only occupant in a 2018 Mercedez Benz GLA45 AMG, police said.

According to state police, Soltanian was speeding on the highway shortly before 7:30 a.m., just north of the Southern State Parkway.

A trooper subsequently located the vehicle on the right shoulder after it crashed, authorities said.

State police are investigating the crash and ask anyone who has information to call (631) 756-3300.
