Duo Stole Man's Car, Cell Phone in Roosevelt: Police
The men ordered the victim and a witness to get in the car before the two escaped in Hempstead, police say.

ROOSEVELT, NY - Police are seeking two men who stole a man's car and cell phone in Roosevelt on Sunday morning.
The 28-year-old male victim and a 27-year-old witness were standing next to the victim’s car that was parked in front of the In and Out Deli on 498 Nassau Road at about 6 a.m.
The two were approached by two men and after a few minutes a physical altercation ensued over a cell phone and the victim’s cell phone was then taken away from him, police said.

The victim fled the scene on foot after the men motioned to have a weapon, however none was displayed, according to police.
At that time, the duo ordered the witness into the victim’s car and the men entered the car as well, according to police.

A short time later, the victim returned to the scene and was ordered into the car, according to police.
All four men then drove off in the victim’s blue 2014 Nissan Altima, with a NY registration of HEJ-4257, police said.
The victim and witness were able to flee the car by Milburn Avenue and Harold Avenue in Hempstead.
The phone and car have not been recovered. No injuries have been reported.
The first man is described as tall with short cropped hair, a mustache and wearing a black sweatshirt, police said.
The second man is described as short with a mustache and wearing a black jacket, black skinny jeans and a red colored Detroit Red Wings hat, according to police.
