1. An East Meadow man is facing attempted murder charges after stabbing his wife and child, the Nassau County DA revealed. Christopher Alvarado, 37, faced arraignment Sunday in relation to the events of March 23. Police say Alvarado stabbed his wife while she was holding their 18-month-old child; both were injured. Alvarado then attempted suicide. (News 12 Westchester)
2. Police have issued an alert for a missing Levittown man. Richard Buseck, 65, was reported missing on Sunday, April 3. Click over to the article to see a photo and read a description of Buseck and his vehicle. (Daily Voice)
3. A fire closed the Levittown Library for several hours on Monday morning. Jerry Barmash reports that the flames were contained in a bathroom in the building. No injuries were reported. (Patch)
