Concert: Thats Amore

Who is Harry Warren….and why are most of us unfamiliar with his name?

Warren, whose real name was Salvatore Guarangna, aka “Mr. Hollywood Musical,” composed over 1,000 songs that have served as the soundtrack of our lives for almost a century.

The list of Harry Warren songs is virtually a shorthand history of movie musicals: “I Only Have Eyes For You,” “You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby,” “Jeepers Creepers,” “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” “The More I See You,” “That’s Amore,” and the list goes on...and on.

Then, lest we forget, there are his three Oscar- winning songs: “Lullaby of Broadway,” “You’ll Never Know,” and “On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe.”

In recent years, singer/pianist Michael Feinstein has worked diligently to bring the invaluable contribution of his late friend Harry Warren to the attention of audiences.

Now, Robert Spiotto will present his own take of Warren’s works. Spiotto’s performance will be enhanced by an effective recorded soundtrack to accompany his live vocals.

Those of you who were fortunate enough to catch Spiotto’s last “gig” here impersonating Danny Kaye, know you’ll be in for an afternoon of delightful, effervescent entertainment.

Seating is open-first come, first served.
