Some of the Long Island Lizards Professional Outdoor Lacrosse Team’s game day staff will be holding official open tryouts for candidates as regular Game Day LI Lizard Ballboys on Saturday April 21st promptly from 10am-12 noon , registration begins at 9am.(Don’t be late!) The cost to try out is 100% Free.
Boys from Merrick and all over Long Island ,NY- wishing to be considered for the position as a Regular Volunteer Home Field Game Day LI Lizard Ballboy should show up accompanied with an adult in order to be considered for the position. Tryouts will consist of some important skill drills as well as other tasks.

Being a regular Game Day LI Lizard Ballboy is hard work , but one with a lot of benefits . Boys that eventually get chosen , get to spend some serious time with the Lizards players, coaches and staff. You must be able to make Lizard home practices on Thursday nights as well as most , if not all, of their home games at James M. Shuart Stadium at Hofstra University (4/28, 6/1, 6/23, 7/7, 7/14,7/21 and 7/28). We wish you luck and hope to see you there.

What to bring- An adult, parent or guardian (for legal reasons) AND
Your Equipment (helmet, mouthpiece, stick, pads, gloves, cup and sneakers) < YES, SNEAKERS !!! NO CLEATS!!!! WEAR SNEAKERS!!!! AND A positive, friendly, responsible attitude
Notes- Tryouts are Good to fair weather, cancellable only if there is very heavy rain or lightning
