This Sunday afternoon concert features composer and saxophonist Libby Richman leading an ensemble sure to delight with their interpretation of favorite jazz standards as well as original contemporary jazz in a "Guided Tour of Jazz." Her sound echoes many influences, including classical, Latin and pop music.
The ensemble, featuring Alan Rosenthal on piano and Fred Weidenhammer on bass, will perform Cole Porter selections ( Love for Sale)as well as some ballads, including There is No Greater Love.
Libby's lively commentary on the hows and whys of this versatile and challenging American art form will surely add to the enjoyment of this afternoon of music.

Libby and her ensemble have performed, to great acclaim, at many venues throughout the tri-state area. In addition, she has performed with Leslie Gore, Martha Reeves, The Shirelles, the Earls, The Duprees, The Kit McClure Big Band and The Guy Lombardo Orchestra (under the direction of Al Pierson).
