PURIM AT THE CIRCUS

"PURIM AT THE CIRCUS" - CELEBRATE PURIM WITH GREAT CIRCUS FOOD, AN AWESOME JUGGLING ACT, FACE PAINTING, CIRCUS GAMES, PRIZES, AND MORE!

Keeping with the Chabad tradition of creating incredibly fun andexciting holiday programs for the entire Jewish community, Chabad ofMerrick-Bellmore-Wantagh will be hosting its annual PURIM BASH and DINNER celebration with a circus theme.

Purim commemorates the escape of the Jewish People from annihilation by the ancient Persian Empire, and is celebrated by the exchange of food packages between friends, by giving charity to the poor, by eating a traditional festive meal, and by reading the story of Purim from the Megillah (Purim scroll).

This year on the Purim holiday-March 8th, Chabad will hold the “Purim at the Circus” celebration for young and old.

"We focus on doing interesting and innovative holiday programs while still keeping with the holiday theme", said Rabbi Shimon Kramer. "This party will combine ancient Jewish traditions with a circus twist".

“After last year’s successful ‘Purim in the African Jungle’ we are ‘traveling’ to the circus this year”, says Chanie Kramer, program director; “and are hoping to give everyone a great & meaningful time.”

The party is open to the public and all are welcome, regardless of background or affiliation and will be held on Thursday, March 8th. Megilla reading is at 5pm and program begins at 5:30 pm.  In order to accommodate the ever-growing crowds who join Chabad for Holiday celebrations, the event will be held at the Fireman’s Exempt Club at 228 Pettit Ave, North Bellmore (next door to the Bellmore Firehouse)
