Sign-ups have begun for the Sixth Annual Robbie’s Run, a 5K road race through the streets of Merrick that benefits Forever 9-The Robbie Levine Foundation, which was created in 2005 following the tragic death of nine-year-old Robbie Levine on the Little League Field.
The day’s activities include a kids’ Fun Run at 8:30am, 1-mile Mini Run at 8:50am and the 5K Race at 9:15am. In addition, numerous kids’ activities and entertainment will take place throughout the morning.
Runners can register online at www.robbielevinefoundation.org, by mail or on race day beginning at 7:00am. Those who register before May 10th will receive a Robbie’s Run t-shirt.

Founded in 2005 after the tragic death of nine-year-old Robbie Levine on the field during baseball practice, Forever 9 sponsors the annual Robbie’s Run to raise awareness of sudden cardiac death and how AEDs save lives. The yearly Run raises thousands of dollars that have been used to supply youth sports organizations across the New York area with AEDs.
