1. Suspects remain at large after an armed robbery of a Domino's deliveryman in Farmingdale on Saturday afternoon. The 60-year-old victim says two males approached him in the vicinity of Oak Street and Cinque Drive and demanded cash, pressing a handgun into his back. 2. A man was sentenced on Wednesday, February 9, for a Flora Park jewelry store heist back in 2017. Brooklyn's Justice Brunson, age 43, was convicted of stealing over $80,000 worth of jewelry from Atelier Jewelers while his accomplice pretended she needed a bracelet repaired. Brunson was sentenced to 23 years to life in prison. (Daily Voice)
3. Hofstra University is adding some extra credentials to its executive lineup in the coming days. Charles Riordan is set to become the school's next provost, bringing with him a resume flush with expertise in research and development as well as an understanding of the intersection of science and economic development. 5. An Elmont man has pleaded guilty to the 2020 vehicular homicide of his passenger. Ebraheem Chowdhury, age 24, admitted his role last week in the death of his 21-year-old passenger after Chowdhury drove his vehicle through a traffic circle and into a tree in the Town of Highlands. Blood tests showed that Chowdhury was under the influence of both marijuana and alcohol at the time of the accident. (Daily Voice)
