NORTH MERRICK, NY — A fire late Thursday afternoon caused damage to a home in North Merrick. The fire, reportedly, took place in the upper level of a home on Little Whaleneck Road. North Merrick firefighters work on the extinguishing the blaze. There is no word of any injuries. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Nassau County police are investigating.
