Freeport Man Stabbed His Father to Death: Police

FREEPORT, NY - A 24-year-old man is charged with murder after police say he stabbed his father to death on Tuesday in their Freeport home.

According to detectives, Freeport Police officers responded to a 911 call for a domestic disturbance at 34 Laurette Lane around 3:45 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found 55-year-old Russell Johnson dead from multiple stab wounds, police said.

An investigation determined that Johnson and his son, Jordan Johnson, had been involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical, police said.

Jordan Johnson was placed under arrest at the scene. He is charged with second degree murder and will be arraigned on Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
