Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. Our staff offers a wide range of social and employment services, including: • Development of a personalized self-sufficiency plan • Case management and referrals • Employment services, job search skills, and work experience opportunities • Outreach and community support • Social and cultural adjustment assistance • English language support • Help with school, benefits, and local resource navigation • Transitional services and employment retention support We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. NORTH MERRICK, NY — A man is on the loose for robbing a gas station in North Merrick Wednesday night. The man entered the BP gas station at 1185 Merrick Avenue just after 10:30 p.m., pointed a handgun at the 22-year-old employee and demanded money from the register, detectives said.The worker handed an undisclosed amount of cash and the man fled on foot, police said. There were no customers at the gas station at the time of the robbery, and no one was hurt, detectives said.Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
