Hit Black Friday Sales in Merrick

Avid shoppers rejoice at Black Friday and the sales that come with it.

Merrick is also taking part in Black Friday and there are deals going on right here in town.

Here is some of what we scoped out:

• Max & Gino's will have a 20 percent off sale on all items in the store on Black Friday.
• Have an avid video-gamer to shop for? GameStop, with two locations in Merrick, people that have the Power Up rewards card will be able to buy two select games and get one free.
• Need a new wardrobe? Lonny's will be hosting a "Friends and Family"-type sale with 25 percent markdowns. Certain exclusions apply.
• For the little ones in your life, Matty's Toy Shop is offering 15 percent off through Sunday both in-store and online. Exclusions include video game systems and accessories and it cannot be combined with any other offer.
• The Gap is advertising up to 60 percent off items in store. It will be opening at 5 a.m. to appease the early birds.
• Look in your e-mail if you are a frequent shopper of Canteen. An employee at the store told Patch that the specials will arrive in your inbox.
• Stop by Inmotion, where although it doesn't advertise sales beforehand, an employee said that there would be plenty of store-wide sales.
