Inspiring Young Authors at Levy Lakeside

During Levy Lakeside’s PARP week, children’s author Audrey Vernick spoke to students about the process of creating stories.

Vernick encouraged students to write stories by brainstorming about interesting topics. She asked students to form ideas by imagining activities they wish they could do or placing a character in an unexpected place.

FollowingVernick’s presentation, students collaborated to create a story about an alligator in a bathtub who wanted to play with rubber ducks.
