Kennedy Girls Race To Track Championship Victory
The Girls relay team are now the Nassau County champions. It's the school's first title in more than a decade.

From Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District: The Bellmore-Merrick Central School District’s John F. Kennedy Girls 4 X 800-meter relay team nabbed the Nassau County Championship during their meet on Feb. 7, earning the school its first title in nearly 15 years.
The relay team includes juniors Jillian Conlon and Alicia Prainito, freshman Maya Spottiswood and Merrick Avenue Middle School eighth-grader Marissa Spottiswood.
Maya also earned All-County status in the 1,500-meter by placing third a mere 40 minutes before her championship relay.

“With no seniors, these four girls will only be getting faster over the next few seasons,” said Chris Mammone, who is head coach. Barbara Green is the assistant coach.
