Kennedy Grad Earns Athletic Honors at Brockport
Merokean Mike Breman, a senior on the SUNY-Brockport soccer team, was recently named the school's male athlete of the week.

Mike Breman, a Kennedy High School graduate, earned male athlete of the week honors at SUNY-Brockport last week after he helped the soccer team go 2-0-1 and open the season with a pair of shutouts.
Led by Breman, a senior defender on the team, the defense allowed only seven shots during a season-opening 4-2 win over Cazenovia. In the Doug May Memorial Tournament at RIT, Breman's unit clamped down to allow only two shots during a 0-0 tie with Nazareth.
In the consolation game of the tournament, Breman, who earned all-tournament team honors, again held Ithaca to just seven shots as the Golden Eagles emerged with a 1-0 win.
The defense for coach Gary LaPietra's squad surrendered just two goals on 16 shots through three games in registering back-to-back shutouts.
Breman, of Merrick, is majoring in physical education at Brockport.
