Kennedy Routs Jericho At Homecoming Game

The Cougars soundly defeated their challengers at last week's Homecoming game.

The John F. Kennedy High School Cougars clawed their way to a 35-6 victory at the Oct. 20 homecoming game against Jericho High School.

Attendees were treated to a festival ahead of the game that included food, bouncy houses, games and more.

New this year was VIP seating in a comfy couch positioned on the track surrounding the football field. Each quarter, one lucky student plus three friends were able to enjoy an along-the-sidelines view of the game.

After the kickline and cheerleading squads performed at midfield, Chloe Demetriades and Matthew Baker were crowned homecoming queen and king. The band, led by Walter Avellaneda, played punchy tunes throughout the game to keep the crowd – and team – amped up.
