Once again, students at Levy Lakeside School in Merrick conducted a toy drive to benefit Toys for Tots. Lakeside School collected seven large bags filled with toys, which will be distributed to local families in the area through Merrick Kiwanis Club.

“It always feels great to join in on such a worthy cause, especially when we know we will be making kids happy during the holiday season,” said Madeline, a student at Lakeside School. “Kids helping kids, there is no better way to celebrate the holidays!”

Toys for Tots is a program spearheaded by the United States Marine Corps Reserve to distribute toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas.
