- Nassau County legislature and the Town of Oyster Bay sent off the region's largest supply yet of humanitarian relief items for Ukraine. The communities collected over 45,000 pounds of donations. They were ready to head to Poland as of Friday. (LongIsland.com)
- Get a quick overview of Seaford's history from Jerry Barmash at Patch. Though it experienced lots of growth following the introduction of the Sunset Highway in 1929 and the LIRR, its name actually dates back as far as 1790 on a map related to George Washington's visit. Prior to that, the Marsapeaques, a Native American tribe, called it "Great Water Land."
