"Spread the word – the [Long Island] kid from Merrick is a great performer and a deserving young person," he said.
As for Tuesday's performance, Rosen choice "Angel," a hit made popular by female singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan.
"I'm going to do something different that people can relate to. I really believe in myself as an artist," Rosen said.
And different he did, with the confidence to boot. Rosen didn't disappoint the judges or his fans back home, breaking the mold and jumping out of the box to lend his voice to the song.
Judge Steven Tyler, who has been impressed with Rosen from the beginning had nothing but praise for the singer after his rendition of the song.
"You can sing a ballad like nobody's business. That was a beautiful thing," he said.
"I've said this to you before, that when you sing songs, you have to tell a story. You are one of those very special people. When you sing, you feel every single word. You are just a very special singer," said Jennifer Lopez, one of the judges.
Although judge Randy Jackson did not think that it was Rosen's top performance, Rosen confidently stood by his act and said that he "had fun with it and like Jennifer said, I did my own thing."
You can submit your vote for Rosen online at Americanidol.com.
Will Rosen make it through to the next round? We will find out Thursday at 8 p.m. on FOX. Until then, vote, vote, vote.
