Man Arrested On Weapon Charges After Fight With Nassau Police
A routine traffic stop led to a man's arrest for illegally carrying a handgun, police say.

A New York City man was arrested by police early Saturday after they say a gun fell off of him while he was struggling with an officer.
According to police, officers saw a 2003 Nissan traveling north on Nassau Road in Uniondale that was swerving between lanes, so the officers pulled it over.
During the investigation, Sonny Gorham, 34, of West 131st Street, who was a passenger in the car, became uncooperative and struggled with the officers, police say. During the struggle, police say Gorham's jacket came off and a handgun fell to the ground. Gorham then fled the scene on foot, police say.
