Man Caught With 'Large Quantity' of Marijuana, Semi-Automatic Handgun in Long Island Home: Police
The 28-year-old was arrested Thursday night, police say.

A 28-year-old North Bellmore man aces drug and weapon charges after he was arrested Thursday night, Nassau Police said.
According to police, detectives from the Special Investigations Squad were investigating a prior robbery at 1930 Russell Street in Bellmore when a consent search of the home recovered a large quantity of marijuana and a loaded .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun.
Curtis Bishop claimed ownership of the marijuana and gun and was placed under arrest without incident, police said.

Bishop is charged with fourth degree criminal possession of marijuana and second degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned Friday at First District Court, Hempstead.
