  1. NY detectives shot a man on Saturday around 4:30 p.m. after they say he threatened them with a knife. The incident happened at a home on Buchanan Avenue in Copiague. The incident is under investigation. (NBC New York)
  2. Police arrested a Freeport man after he injured a Nassau County officer early Sunday morning, March 20, reports Nicole Valinote. Police responded to Sunrise Highway near the intersection of Beech Street and found Jerry Velasquez, of Freeport, fighting with another individual. Velasquez failed to stop fighting and an officer was injured when he attempted to intervene. (Daily Voice)
  3. A pedestrian was killed in Rockville Centre by a motorcycle on Saturday night. Authorities say a 42-year-old man was walking across the street on Merrick Road near North Forest Avenue when a motorcyclist hit him. The motorcycle driver, 36, also hit a nearby Honda Civic. An investigation is underway. (News 12 Bronx)
  4. Celebrate ten years with LI barbershop Mad Men Barbershop. The institution marked a decade despite uncertainty caused by COVID-19 the past few years. Mad Men has locations in Wantagh and Williston Park. (Patch)
  5. A Queens woman tried to trick a local elderly woman into sending $14,900 to a Valley Stream address. Police say Monira Chowdhury and an unidentified man who claimed to be a Best Buy Geek Squad worker told an 84-year-old woman that she would need to refund money that was mistakenly given to her. Chowdury was arrested and charged with grand larceny. (News 12 Brooklyn)
