The office of Immigration &amp; Refugee Services is recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice to counsel, process, file, and represent clients before the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and EOIR Immigration Court. Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. MERRICK, NY — Police are investigating a bank robbery in Merrick, where a man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. It happened at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday at the Roslyn Savings Bank on Merrick Avenue. The man approached a teller with a note demanding cash, detectives said. He left on foot southbound on Merrick Avenue. There were four employees and two customers in the bank during the robbery. No one was injured, police said. The nearby Chatterton School was in lockdown due to the incident. The public is sought for help identifying the person responsible. People can call Nassau County Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 1-800-244-TIPS.
