March 1: Fundraiser for Bellmore Woman, Country Line Dancing

1. Laughs for Alice – a Bellmore resident with stage four lymphoma – will be taking place at Brokerage Comedy Club on Thursday. The event starts at 8 p.m. and the cost is $40. There will also be a raffle and a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit the Foster/Carter family.

2. In 2011, the Treehouse Cafe in Merrick shut it's doors. What should go into this Sunrise Highway space? Come back at 10 a.m. to tell us what you think should take over this vacancy.

3. East Meadow's PTA Council will hold an executive board meeting on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Campo Salisbury Center.

4. Was your New Year's resolution to try something new? How about country line dancing? Join dance instructor Richie K. at Bullitt Saloon at 8 p.m. There will be drink specials all night long and there is a $5 cover charge.
