Mepham Celebrates Homecoming With Pride, And A Big Win
The Bellmore-Merrick community came out to show its support for the school and to cheer on the Pirates.
To culminate spirit week at Wellington C. Mepham High School, the Pirate community hosted a festival, pep rally and homecoming game on Sept. 28.
Various clubs set up booths in the parking lot that included face painting, bubble creation and slime making.
Teams were called onto the field during the pep rally to display their school spirit, and the Bellmore-Merrick community came together as the football team took on Valley Stream Central in the evening.

At halftime, the cheerleading and kickline squads got the crowd on their feet. Anthony Novello and Samantha Bello were crowned homecoming king and queen, respectively.
