Scott Lipsky, a Merrick native, and his doubles partner Santiago Gonzalez were 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 winners over defending champions Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi & Jean-Julien Rojer to win the 2013 Portugal Open Men's Double Title, according to Long Island Tennis Magazine.
Lipsky is now 9-7 overall.
"We played well and enjoyed playing the bigger matches," Lipsky told the magazine. “We were almost down match point in our first-round match [against Robin Haase & Igor Sijsling], so we got lucky."
