Merrick-Bellmore Girls thrive in FLG Summer Season!

Another great summer season has come to a close for FLG Lacrosse!

Hannah Lewis (2024) was an crucial part of the youngest FLG team in history's success this season! Hannah and the rest of her teammates improved everyday! Sofia Mescolotto, Julia Parente, Kerri Gallagher, Olivia Rinaldi and Quinn Schroeder lead their 2023 team to another masterful season filled with tons of victories and playoff appearances! We are excited to see what the future brings for these girls!

Jamie Maddaluno and Meghan Rawlinson were a huge part of the successful zone defense run by the 2019(516) team this summer. Jamie continuously came up with ground balls in big situations helping the team in transition.

Bryant commit Gigi Kapoosuzian continued to thrive in goal with her athletic style of play and surefire saves! Director Robyn Pastuch said of Gigi "We loved having Gigi behind us all year, it's nice knowing that if the defense plays the game right our goalie will be there for big time saves. FLG will also miss Megan Keener and Nicolina Torchia as this is their last summer with FLG Lacrosse. "Both girls bring fire and heart to the team that is unrivaled. We will definitely miss these girls next summer, but I'm excited to see how they continue to grow throughout their college careers."

FLG Teams

FLG Lacrosse tryouts are designed to select the best talent. The drills used in the tryouts are from the FLG Lacrosse Curriculum and are intended to test the player’s ability to make decisions in different aspects of the game. Our highly knowledgable evaluators and coaches assist in the selection process. Tryouts for our the 2016/17 FLG Select Teams will be during August of 2016.
