The Merrick Gables Cafe will hold its grand opening gala on Wednesday evening August 14th to welcome friends, family and new customers alike to its Merrick Road location, the former home of TCBY. The event will bring together local business people, politicians, and local residents to sample the cafe's menu that includes delicious crepes, panini, wraps, salad, hot dogs and smoothies. The cafe is open daily from early morning to evening to meet the needs of all hungry customers who pass on busy Merrick Road.
Brian Sztabnik, owner of the Merrick Gables Cafe, is a fourth generation Merrick resident, having graduated from Calhoun High School in 2003. For years, Brian dreamt of opening up a local cafe where people could gather in a homey environment while enjoying simple, delicious fare. Brian hopes local residents will come in for a visit and sample the cafe's menu, while enjoying the French bistro music and wifi.
