Peter Holmstedt, proprietor and post member, and his wholesaler are donating to our post treasury one and one-half cent for each gallon of gasoline pumped in May of 2013.
Merrick Post No. 1282 members again will be at the station on Saturday and Sunday, in the month of May (except Mother’s Day), between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to give to his customers an American Flag/American Legion Post Pen as our thanks.
Post members are urged to help out and participate by giving out the flags/pens for this worthy cause. We use the proceeds to assist fellow veterans, hospitalized veterans, active service persons, and for post activities in our community.
Holmstead’s service station is located at 1776 Merrick Ave. in North Merrick.
