The Merrick Kiwanis Club will be hosting Sue Guliani, the director of parks and Hank Leggio, director of operations for Jones Beach State Park at their meeting on April 16 at 6:45 p.m. at La Piazza Restaurant.
They will be giving a presentation on the history of Jones Beach, the effect Superstorm Sandy had on the beach, and the recovery effort the park has made to date.
The cost is $22 per person, which includes dinner. Everyone who attends will receive a token of appreciation from Jones Beach.
