Merrick Little League Hosts Family Fun Day

Annual free event at Town Park is open to the entire community.

The Merrick-North Merrick Little League put on its sixth annual Family Fun Day Sunday at Merrick Road Park.

The event featured plenty of fun for those of all ages; from a moon bounce, to a massive inflatable slide to a dunk tank, there were smiles all around. There was also food and ice cream served up to the estimated 1,000 people who filtered through the park grounds during the two-hour event.

"This is all for free," Merrick Little League President Butch Yamali said.  "This is the Merrick Little League giving back to the community."
