Merrick Resident Among Students to Receive Susan Sutton Smith Award
Congratulations to all the award winners!

ONEONTA, NY - SUNY Oneonta recently announced that over 130 students received the 2015-2016 Susan Sutton Smith Award for academic excellence, including a Merrick resident.
The 139 total students who received the award were all freshmen, sophomores or juniors with a grade-point average of 3.9 or higher.
All the award winners received a certificate, a gift card to the campus bookstore, and an invitation to attend the annual Susan Sutton Smith Lecture and reception. Dr. Susan Bernardin, professor of English at SUNY Oneonta, delivered this year's lecture.

The Merrick student to received the award was Christine Coleman, a sophomore majoring in Music Industry.
