Merrick Salon Worker Has Charges Against Him Dropped
He was initially charged with stealing more than $500,000 from the business, but had the most serious charges dropped by the court.

The manager of a Merrick salon who was accused of embezzling from the business had the most serious charges against him dropped.
William Wittrock, 36, of South Huntington, was accused of stealing more than $500,000 from Tom New York. But the most serious charges -- one count each of fourth- and fifth-degree criminal tax fraud, and a charge of second-degree grand larceny -- were dropped. Also dropped was a petty larceny charge.
Wittrock pleaded guilty to misdemeanor fifth-degree tax fraud, and was sentenced to one year probation.
